These new mission presidents and companions will begin their service in July

The following new mission presidents and companions have been called to serve by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

Terrify Antonio Banda, 46, and Mary Banda, four children, Ruwa Ward, Harare Zimbabwe East Stake: Nigeria Aba Mission. Brother Banda is a stake presidency counselor and former high councilor, branch president, branch clerk, elders quorum president and missionary in the Zimbabwe Harare Mission. He was born in Bindura, Zimbabwe, to David Antonio Banda and Gladys Banda.

Sister Banda is a ward Young Women president and former ward Relief Society president, ward Relief Society presidency counselor and ward Young Women presidency counselor. She was born in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe, to Calton Marima and Florence Manyange.

Brad Barlow, 57, and Angela Barlow, five children, Fruitland 3rd Ward, Ontario Oregon Stake: Argentina Resistencia Mission, succeeding President Clay Reber and Sister Sharlyn L. Reber. Brother Barlow is an elders quorum president and former stake president, bishop, ward Young Men presidency counselor, Young Men adviser and missionary in the Perú Arequipa Mission. He was born in Bountiful, Utah, to Jon Kay Barlow and Becky Barlow.

Sister Barlow is a ward Relief Society presidency counselor and former ward Young Women president, ward Primary president and Activity Days leader. She was born in Murray, Utah, to Vaughn Baird and Juanee Marie Baird.

Gary F. Carter, 62, and Marci Carter, four children, Olive Knolls Ward, Bakersfield California Stake: Texas Austin Mission, succeeding President Scott J. Fox and Sister Britton Manzer Fox. Brother Carter is a stake president and former stake presidency counselor, high councilor, bishop, bishopric counselor and missionary in the Iowa Des Moines Mission. He was born in Ogden, Utah, to Parley Wellen Carter and Barbara Carter.

Sister Carter is a stake Relief Society board member and former stake Young Women camp director, stake temple and family history consultant, ward Young Women president, Young Women adviser and seminary teacher. She was born in Salt Lake City to Ronald Calvin Holgate and Sharon Dee Holgate.

Jerome G. Galotera, 46, and Beverly S. Galotera, four children, Tagbilaran 2nd Ward, Tagbilaran Philippines Stake: California Anaheim Mission, succeeding President H. J. Platt and Sister Cori Platt. Brother Galotera is a stake president and former district president, stake Young Men president, bishop, branch president, bishopric counselor, elders quorum president, branch mission leader, Sunday School teacher, institute teacher and missionary in the Philippines Cabanatuan and Philippines Angeles missions. He was born in Guimaras, Philippines, to Cirilo Gando Galotera and Visitacion Bibanco Genit Galotera.

Sister Galotera is a Sunday School teacher and former district Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, seminary teacher and missionary in the Philippines Tacloban Mission. She was born in Malaybalay, Philippines, to Valeriano Sulatan, Samson Jr. and Fely Costanilla Madroñal Samson.

Roberto Gonzalez, 52, and Lilian Carolina Pineda de Gonzalez, six children, Arrazola Ward, Guatemala City Don Justo Stake: Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission, succeeding President Oscar M. Abadillo and Sister Cynthia Castillo de Abadillo. Brother Gonzalez is an Area Seventy and former mission presidency counselor, stake president, stake presidency counselor, high councilor, stake assistant executive secretary, YSA adviser, branch president, institute teacher, temple ordinance worker and missionary in the El Salvador San Salvador West Mission. He was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to Roberto Gonzalez and Julia Santos Ortiz.

Sister Gonzalez is a Relief Society teacher and former district Young Women president, stake temple and family history consultant, ward Young Women president, YSA adviser, Relief Society teacher, Sunday School teacher and seminary teacher. She was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to Francisco Pineda Garrido and Fulvia Margoth Vela Lopez de Pineda.

Adam B. Harker, 43, and Kimberly Ball Harker, five children, Shafer View Ward, Meridian Idaho South Stake: Brazil Campinas Mission, succeeding President Elton Saucedo and Sister Marisa Grahl Saucedo. Brother Harker is a former high councilor, stake executive secretary, bishopric counselor, elders quorum president, ward mission leader, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Brazil Salvador Mission. He was born in Richland, Washington, to Bruce Hirschi Harker and Debra Ann Harker.

Sister Harker is a stake Primary secretary and former ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Primary secretary, Gospel Doctrine teacher, Primary teacher and ward missionary. She was born in Jefferson County, Idaho, to Ronald James Ball Jr. and Dianna Jean Ball.

Frank Heckmann, 64, and Maria Heckmann, seven children, Heidelberg 2nd Ward (Spanish), Heidelberg Germany Stake: Spain Barcelona Mission, succeeding President Juan Pablo Villar and Sister Carola Villar. Brother Heckmann is a mission presidency counselor and former high councilor, public affairs director, stake Young Men presidency counselor, branch president, bishopric counselor, ward mission leader, institute teacher, seminary teacher, temple ordinance worker and missionary in the Switzerland Zürich Mission. He was born in Heidelberg, Germany, to Heinrich Friedrich Heckmann and Ruth Heckmann.

Sister Heckmann is a ward Relief Society president and former stake Primary presidency counselor, public affairs specialist, institute teacher, seminary teacher, ward missionary, temple ordinance worker and missionary in the Spain Barcelona Mission. She was born in Cadiz, Spain, to Francisco Marin Miranda and Cristobalina Aragon Sanchez.

José Hernández, 54, and Mercedes Hernández, four children, Fesitranh Ward, Fesitranh Honduras Stake: Nicaragua Managua South Mission. Brother Hernández is an Area Seventy and former stake president, stake presidency counselor, stake executive secretary, bishop, branch president, bishopric counselor, Sunday School teacher, seminary teacher and missionary in the Honduras San Pedro Sula Mission. He was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, to Lidia Angelica Orellana Lopez.

Sister Hernández is an institute teacher and former ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, Relief Society teacher and Sunday School teacher. She was born in La Lima, Honduras, to Estanislao Ortega and Emerita Silva Ortega.

David B. McGinn, 60, and Lori McGinn, five children, Heatheridge 3rd Ward, Orem Utah Heatheridge Stake: Kentucky Louisville Mission, succeeding President Blake R. Alder and Sister Sheryl A. Alder. Brother McGinn is a YSA stake president and former stake president, stake presidency counselor, bishop, bishopric counselor, elders quorum president, ward Young Men president, institute teacher and missionary in the Iowa Des Moines Mission. He was born in San Diego, California, to John Peter McGinn Jr. and Eileen McGinn.

Sister McGinn is a Primary Activity Days leader and Sunday School teacher and former stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, Primary music leader and Primary teacher. She was born in Provo, Utah, to James Edwin Mangum and Shirley Rae Mangum.

Jeffrey C. McMullin, 63, and Jill Whatcott McMullin, five children, Higley Groves Ward, Gilbert Arizona Highland West Stake: Texas Houston Mission, succeeding President Ramon G. Burrola and Sister Olivia Burrola. Brother McMullin is a former stake presidency counselor, stake executive secretary, bishop, bishopric counselor and missionary in the Perú Lima North Mission. He was born in St. George, Utah, to W. Clark McMullin and Ora Lee McMullin.

Sister McMullin is a former stake Primary president, stake YSA adviser, stake music chair, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women presidency counselor and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Tombstone, Arizona, to William John Whatcott and Connie Rae Whatcott.

Henrry Jose Perez, 51, and Airam Susej de Perez Alvarez, two children, Naguanagua Ward, Valencia Venezuela Los Sauces Stake: Venezuela Caracas Mission, succeeding President Domingo J. Perez and Sister Magdelis Perez Puche. Brother Perez is a stake presidency counselor and former mission presidency counselor, district president, district presidency counselor, high councilor, branch president, bishopric counselor, elders quorum president, ward Young Men president, elders quorum presidency counselor, ward mission leader, institute teacher, seminary teacher and missionary in the Venezuela Maracaibo Mission. He was born in Valle de la Pascua, Venezuela, to Mauro De Genaro and Luisa Matilde Perez Machado.

Sister Perez is a Church service missionary and welfare and self-reliance specialist and former district temple and family history consultant, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women presidency counselor, branch temple and family history consultant, Sunday School teacher and seminary teacher. She was born in Valle de la Pascua, Venezuela, to Antonio Jose Alvarez Arzola and Adriana del Carmen Fernandez Gil.

Rossvan Plata, 48, and Yoanna Plata, three children, Cañaveral Ward, Bucaramanga Colombia Stake: Guatemala Quetzaltenango Mission, succeeding President Robert L. Roden and Sister Annette Roden. Brother Plata is a stake president and former stake presidency counselor, high councilor, stake Young Men president, bishop, Sunday School teacher and institute teacher. He was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia, to Reinaldo Plata Pinilla and Ana Hilce Villamizar Villamizar.

Sister Plata is a stake welfare and self-reliance specialist and former stake temple and family history consultant, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, Sunday School teacher, seminary teacher and Church service missionary. She was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia, to Ramiro Suarez and Marina Ballesteros.

Juan Rodriguez, 53, and Martha Rodriguez, four children, Van Alstyne Ward, Sherman Texas Stake: California Ventura Mission, succeeding President C. Tom Carter and Sister Jennie Carter. Brother Rodriguez is a stake Young Men president, high councilor and temple ordinance worker and former bishop, bishopric counselor, high priests group leader, elders quorum president, ward Young Men president, ward mission leader and missionary in the México Hermosillo Mission. He was raised in Monterrey, Mexico, by his parents Macario Rodriguez and Maria de la Luz Garza.

Sister Rodriguez is a ward missionary and temple ordinance worker and former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, ward Primary presidency counselor and seminary teacher. She was raised in Mexico City, Mexico, by her parents Jose Roberto Monsalvo Gonzalez and Maria Adriana Jasso Heredia.

Steve Schmutz, 61, and Becky Schmutz, five children, South Bench Ward, Kaysville Utah Haight Creek Stake: Texas Houston East Mission, succeeding President Troy D. Larkin and Sister Jill J. Larkin. Brother Schmutz is a stake presidency counselor and former high councilor, stake Young Men president, bishop, bishopric counselor, elders quorum president, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission. He was born in Northridge, California, to Richard Antone Schmutz and Miriam Christensen Schmutz.

Sister Schmutz is a Sunday School teacher and temple ordinance worker and former stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women presidency counselor, ward Primary presidency counselor, Primary teacher and ward choir director. She was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Robert Ernest Parsons and Marilyn Marie Parsons.

Jon Scholl, 60, and Karen Scholl, five children, Prosper 3rd Ward, Prosper Texas Stake: Philippines San Pablo Mission, succeeding President W. Scott Lohner and Sister Kimberly Lohner. Brother Scholl is a service mission leader and temple ordinance worker and former high councilor, stake executive secretary, bishop, bishopric counselor and elders quorum president. He was born in Pomona, California, to Clarence George Scholl and Marilyn Dove Bassham Scholl.

Sister Scholl is a service mission leader and temple ordinance worker and former stake Young Women president, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women presidency counselor, ward Primary presidency counselor, ward temple and family history consultant, Relief Society teacher and seminary teacher. She was born in San Gabriel, California, to Alan Barrie Best and Mary Anne Best.

David A. Valletta, 62, and Janet Valletta, two children, Glen Burnie Ward, Annapolis Maryland Stake: Mozambique Maputo Mission, succeeding President Osvaldo R. Dias and Sister Ariane Dias. Brother Valletta is a temple ordinance worker and former mission presidency counselor, district presidency counselor, high councilor, bishop, bishopric counselor, branch presidency counselor, ward mission leader and missionary in the Brazil Sao Paulo North Mission. He was born in Orange, California, to Angelo Dave Valletta and Norma Helene Valletta.

Sister Valletta is a Primary teacher and temple ordinance worker and former stake Young Women president, district Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, Gospel Doctrine teacher and seminary teacher.
